There is no metal attribute for this item; metal is required to craft it, so it should be just a basic Leather (Prey) or have a metal attribute added.

Even if you set to work here or follow me they will randomly follow another player. My friend ran by while my follower was working on cutting trees and it just started running off with him. Its hard to have them carry items when they just run away...

I am playing offline and everything goes into inventory but I cant get rid of anything. I use wood for fuel, still have the wood. Stone to build, still have the stone. Try dropping item, it drops and still in inventory.
