I switched abeyance realms from desert to forest soon after visiting my first antiquarian realm and starting Aurelio's quest. I then proceeded to craft and update a bunch of my gear, rapidly increasing my gear score from about 20 to 60 (frontiersman's set made that possible). My quest log then showed "Unlock Herbarium Major Card", when I hadn't done any of the other Major cards in between Antiquarian and Herbarium yet. Now, when I went to the Astrolabe site in my abeyance realm and tried to cross the barrier, it keeps rejecting me even though my gear score is 60. I can't progress - HELP!

I am having the same issue. At the moment I am stuck with the "Apply an Enchantment to an Uncommon Item" Quest in Aurelio's questline. I am not getting progress and I'm stuck using simple weapons because I can't get the "Refined Workstation" from the Provisioner Realm.
I have also had this exact issue. I suspected it might have something to do with speaking to Ludivine or the grenade lady before fully finishing Aurellio's questline. Whatever is triggering it probably needs to be sussed out before it sucks in a few newbies. You can complete the Herbarium site of power, but it is quite difficult if you haven't done the earlier realms yet.
Once I completed Aurelio's questline, all the prior site quests appeared, however the Herbarium quest was still able to appear before completing his questline, so it may be confusing for some players - and it might mean someone forgot to switch that one's requirements along with the others when Aurelio's questline was recently updated
