Reguardless of realm or difficulty level when I kill the hope wisps it shows the essence drop but nothing is there upon loting the esence. This has happened 100% every time. I have dispatched several wisps and every time it shows essence drop. I have 0 hope essence even after looting many.
Hey everyone! Posting out of threads to help clear up misunderstandings about the event Wisps:
Hope Essence Wisps are special Wisps that are different from regular Tiered Essences Wisps. They show up as Hopeful Essence in your spyglass.
They are quite a bit rarer then regular Wisps so you want to make sure to not kill them when you find them.
To Harvest their Essence make sure you run up to them and Interact with them. This this a sustainable way to farm them and you will be able to harvest essence from them over and over again.
Hello, I followed the game update video posted today for Spark of Hope--the instructions say to find wisps in the Abeyance Realm. I found level 40 wisps and they drop essences. These essences are T1 essence---the lowest tiered grey colored essence. I have found no Hope Essence.
A friend of mine said he went to the Ascended Gloom Swamp and played a Treasure Eminent Card to increase the Hope Essence drop-I don't know if this is false information.
I have traveled to a couple of realms and located wisps (just show up as wisps in the spyglass), but when I interact with them only the realm's tier essence is dropped, in these cases just T2 essence. I have not located any wisps noted as hopeful wisps. I have even interacted with these wisps until none are left, still only receive T2 essence.

There are different types of wisps in a realm. Can you please confirm that the one you are looting is the hopeful essence wisp?
You dont need to kill them, just "harvest/interact" with them, Like picking up an item.
