I would honestly like to see two different kinds of spyglasses.
A Main-Hand one that can zoom, mark-locations, etc. like the current one, and an off-hand one that has no zoom or mark features that is simply used to identify creatures on your travels. Possibly a Marksman spyglass to be used with the pistol that you can fire while zoomed.
