Using tools as weapons early on seems a bit clunky and not as intuitive and also causes lots of essence to repair since your using them for both a weapon and gathering tool. Blunderbuss is a bit underwhelming and has very low power and unpredictable damage along with a long reload time. Maybe adding in a lineup of simple weapons so that there is a distinction between gathering tools and weapons and less essence to repair an item that's being used constantly.
