It would be more conveninent if we can link and decide what Augmentations are attached to crafting benches. Since crafting benches have limited upgrades, it would give us more versatility over what Augmentations are linked to what. Sometimes, I just want my Augmentations to be decoration.
A suggestion would be when entering building mode, it would give us the option to see where the Augments are linked. This would give a greater understanding on what Augment is affecting which crafting bench and edit the links.

The augmentation system is a bit opaque in general, agree. I thought it was fine until I realized crafting stations have limited number of augmentation slots, and I have placed a bunch of stuff around. Now I have no idea what does what without basically dismantling the whole house. Which I will be doing soon, since I can't upgrade the structure and will have to rebuild, but there's really room for some QOL on the augments for better oversight.
