Keeping track of what augmentations you have on all the different benches, what tier they are, and being able to see what you already have placed versus what you don't have placed makes it hard to follow. I love the complexity of being able to build higher tier augments to make better items, but some form of tracking possibly in the build menu would make crafting more understandable/followable. For example, if I went to the build menu, maybe the augmentations or crafting benches could be subdivided by tier? And before you place it, it could tell you if you already have one connected to a crafting bench somewhere?
