I would like to request the ability to allow for passage of time through a 'wait' or 'rest' option through the furniture items in the game.
Allowing the player to 'rest in a bed' or 'wait in a chair' for a certain time period opens up the potential for the Day/Night cycle of Nightingale to be more useful and relevant.
For example, this could allow for diversification in the way that Fabled Monsters and/or Special Flora to appear in the game (i.e. some being nocturnal rather then Diurnal).
This could also contribute to 'best times of day' to fish in the event the fishing system expands in the future
This could also be used as a mechanic to speed up large batch crafting projects in a similar way that a 'Long rest' does at night
I suspect we would have a lot more night-time and sunset photos to show off this beautiful game with a set time delay.
Just adding an suitably steampunk Alarm Clock Augment to a bed that sets the wake up time of the bed it is next to might be the easiest to develop? Have a kettle-like steam whistle to show its clockwork but runs on steam or gaslamp technology?
What would be a Victorian / Gaspunk flavoured way of passing time?
Getting a deck of cards & foldout card table out and playing Patience?
A round of cards with your Follower?
Embroidering? Some basic recipes like spinning wool to make Thread while you pass time?
Just a pocket fob watch on a chain as an item that you interact with to set your rest time might work?
