I'd love to see the eating requirements turned off while in range of your estate cairn. Spending too much time crafting and building and burning thru my food supplies.
There are Realm Card you can play to make food last longer. I find this helps, but given the ease of finding food and that you can make food with more than 50 hunger mitigation I do not find eating at home to be an issue.
