When looking at an unfinished structure, you can auto-add from inventory or manually add the items. I think the build from storage is great, but it needs that option. Something like shift + [build button] where it doesn't add any materials to it yet, but you can manually add the resources from storage.
I know about the build from storage checkbox, but it's a hassle since I would have to make multiple chest full of building materials when the process could be a lot simpler if I could just add every material manually from storage through the UI.
If you mean to change the default option when you press "E" from auto-fill to manual resource usage, count me in!
