Certain cards like the forge card claim to improve the quality of the items you craft. They appear to do just that, but the improved quality is an illusion that has no impact on final products.
For example, if you craft a tin ingot with the forge card active, the game will claim the ingot provides 6% critical instead of 4% critical. That is a lie. No matter what you do, the bonus reverts back to 4% as soon as you use it to craft something.
I crafted many such tin ingots and then used them to make two rugged hunting knives. One knife I completed while the forge card was active, and one I completed after cleansing it. Both knives came out identical, and both received exactly 4% critical from each ingot despite the claim to a 6% bonus on all of them.
The tooltip breakdown of the bonus made this very clear, and it also showed "1" quality on both knives.
Edit: I just found another post on the same topic. It was not suggested to me prior to creation, or I would not have made it. I am trying to find out how to delete this issue but see no option to. Inflexion, please feel free to delete this.
