I've entered the 4rd room in the apex desert biome, killed the bound and fox creatures, and applied the resources to build the ray gun, but once the gun is built, nothing else happens. it just runs. no one else shows up. I destroyed the ray gun twice, and rebuilt it both myself and using my companion, to no avail.

Hi there, I was able to resolve this on a subsequent run by activating the raygun before killing all of the bound. If I encounter the incident again, I will be sure to update this.
