While trying to complete the quest Target Practice given on the Magwytch realm, we (my husband and I) cannot complete the quest. We have over 100 "head shots" but 0 heart shots. My husband used a bow to try to do it, got the critical for the heart shot, but the quest does not update.
I have used Slingbow to Repeater with Assassin active and from doe to elephant. Never have I been unable to get a heart shot. Until the public test server. Frogs, Bears, or Wolves it matters not. Nothing is registering heart shots. I will uninstall the test server and try the regular game. Stay tuned for updates.
I have, as far as I can manage, determined that bows, slingbows, and throwing knives do not work any longer on this quest, when they have done so in the past. I am not, personally, in a position to determine which weapons will work, as I have personal restrictions to avoid guns of any sort, even in games, but it seems that they have messed this quest up for those of us who refrain from certain types of weapons. And, really, since bows and sling bows, at the least, are crafted under the firearm label, it would be a good move on their part to add those weapons back in as possible options for this quest. It had worked before, doesn't work now, and I have verified that I am getting the 'gold numbers' when making those hits, so I know they should register, but are not doing so.
heart shots are definitely harder to get. The assassin's sight enchantment will help highlight them for you.
