I have gone through the middle realm in the watch, each time i have made it to the boss and area at the end of the cave and theirs no boss and i cant complete it both times.

The boss of the Forest Vault is an elder Eoten, which is fairly close to the exit to the boss arena. I completely understand your confusion, because it's literally just a tree with no specification, but it should be there. Murder the tree.
