I was able to enter the Observatory and complete a main quest without opening the doors, which appears buggy.

| Steps to Reproduce | Enter Welkins Reach and with Chasing the Stars quest active, go to the Observatory with doors closed. Use a jump boost to float through the Observatory dome where the opening is; then proceed down on each floor, completing the objectives, until you get to the Minor Realm card opening. Go to the blue portal and then Puck appears telling you something about a being you encountered, but I didn't see it. Then realized I am supposed to tackle the Bastilles of Agility to open the doors, and I skipped all that lol. |
Same as the original poster - when approaching the Empyrean Observatory floating in the air, the large hole in the observatory roof looked to me like the way the game wanted me to enter.
It was only after getting in and exploring inside the observatory down to the gate on the ground floor, that it became clear the game actually wanted me to do some trials before gaining entry.
I suggest you block the hole in the roof to prevent this happening - because i would imagine a large amount of players will accidentally break in to the observatory and bypass a chunk of the quest using this method.
