In the boss arena that is characterized by a cave with amber crystals and foliage with an opening to the sky in the center. I have wandered around the entire map and there is no boss to fight, it makes attempting to advance through the boss rush levels impossible.

Based on the cavern you have described, I believe you are in the boss fight for the Eoten. If there is a large tree in the cavern, you can hit it to start the fight.
