Yesterday I built a new estate in my Swamp Gauntlet realm and built a T4 cairn to maximise use of the Dragon's Hoard Eminent card I had played.
Today I went back to collect the materials, and discovered that the cairn had vanished. I tried relogging but the cairn still did not appear. There is no cairn marker on the map (just the lodestar). This is not my respite realm.
I built the base with mainly crude stone upper floor times (foundation tiles only exist at the corners). The T4 cairn was placed on one of the upper floor tiles on the lowest level.
After building this T4 cairn, I built a T3 cairn in Welkin's Reach, then went around a few Ascended Herbarium Forests where I built T1 cairns to store basic crafting materials.

Just to add - the cairn was safely inside the perimeter of my building, and no part of the building is damaged, so I do not believe it was destroyed by monsters. I have not observed any monster spawns on patrols in the area (the small group of islands just SW of the Aid POI in D5).
I have built a new cairn on the same spot, this time on a crude stone foundation instead of an upper floor tile.
