Nightingale Community Portal
I crafted a masterwork knife, and in the craft window, it showed the appropriate stats, but on completion, the weapon added to my inventory was treated as if I had never used the focal shard to craft it. I used a Star Ruby/Titan's Fingernail/Marble Focal Shard which should have boosted my critical damage and magic power significantly. Upon receiving the item, it has less of those two stats, and none of the mentioned materials are in the characteristics list.
