Unable to get out of tower location in Welkin's Reach

I toggled the blue portal pad that opened up the door above, I went threw, and nothing was inside sadly (why would you add a secret door with nothing inside anyway?). Anyway, the door closed behind me, being on a timer, but there was no way of me getting OUT. Had to click the "Help, Im stuck" button that pushed me to beginning of the zone again that was not what I wanted to do, being so far away already.
