I was able to bypass the gate on the site of power. I will keep the details for the devs if they are interested.
This breaks progression if you kill the bear before the quest gets there. Now I'm stuck.
Same here. We didn't go in to avoid breaking progression, but you can use traversal methods to bypass the gate before getting the purity potions.
