i refined some chitin (tier 2 i think) into hide and about 1/2 way through i had the game crash, when i reloaded the game the task for the hides was done but instead of having about 75 it gave me 256, and showed x-257 in the status display of the crafting que, if i sat there it just kept spitting out more hides with a timer of -15 min that got longer every hide it spit out along with the x-# getting bigger, as far as i can tell it'll keep spitting out hides indefinitely. you can still manually cancel the task in the crafting station.

I am able to relyably make this happen by starting a recipe at the excellent forge and then sleeping. It seems there is a relationship between remaining fuel and how many products you get out at the end, but the remaining time will go negative as stated in this post.
