In Glorianas Tears it is possible to Pick Climb the outer walls of the Sombre Heart, Bypassing the Forcefield blocking the entry that the quest line uses, This will stick the Quest line causing Into the darkness to be uncompletable as you killed the bound Knight Before you were supposed to.

Resting resets the Bosses in the Sites of Power. This should be able to unblock you.

Not sure if this is related.. but it took me days to realise that there were 2 different sites of power, and it seemed like I must have picked the wrong one, so my quest never updated.. I came back eventually and saw someones video that mentioned the 2nd... I also dont know if you intended us to have to scale cliffs to access the area.. I spent hours trying to scale cliffs and walls like the original poster mentioned.
