The Augment system is garbage. SO many do not work and many are redundant or doubled or triples of the exact same augment bonuses. EXAMPLE: Take the Tier 2 Plough and Wheelbarrow, both are for the mortar station, both are specific for that station, both have the same exact wording and item augmentation.
The tier 3 augments for the excellent mortar station are ALL exactly the same also.
I despise the augment system as it is. So many items are useless, conflict, are EXACTLY the same. I do not want to make three diffrent items for "decorations" that all have the same exact description, are the same tier and do the same thing on only one item, all Augments should be different, give differing bonuses per tier, and should not conflict, and above all, we SHOULD BE ABLE TO CLICK THEM AND TURN THEM ON and OFF. Note: the on/off idea is from several other folks but I wholly concur.
Fix this garbage.

Agree completely, augments should be radius, usable whether outside or inside or in another room, through walls etc. Who wants to put a canon indoors or plow or wheelbarrow, also as mentioned in another post, being able to turn an augment on or off option would be great so a low-level augment does not override a higher tier augment or just make it that way so you can still at least use a worthless augment to decorate with.
