When I try to invite him it creates a party with only me. He does not even receive the invitation. When he tried to invite me, I received the invitation, but again the game created a party with only me. After he restarts the game a few times he is able to create a party at some point, and then everything works as expected. My conclusion is that his connection to the Steam social networking times out or something, and is therefore not established.

This is not just on Steam. It is also with Epic as well.
Only differences, it is my husband I am trying to invite and we are in the same room. Just cannot get into group and find each other in the realms.
