removing an estate cairn removes an entire pre placed structure

So, during my playthrough of the game I found I realy liked the nice house Cerul Barkly is on the front porch of, so I planted an estate cairn down and lived comvortably until I got guns. Then, I right clicked one too many times while exiting build mode and shot out the second story floor. Because you can't replace the floors of these premade structures if you accidentally break them, I decided to move which went great up until I was getting the last box of food stuffs out of the place. I removed the estate cairn on my way in so I didn't forget it only for the entire building to vanish, chest and all. Worst part is, it left nothing but the materials for the estate cairn behind. I'm legally blind so if that chest is still floating up there somewhere I have no idea but that site is bugged rn.
