Welkin realm story critique - not fey

I really have no idea why this story passed. It feels more like a Star Trek story where ships get caught in some anomaly from an advanced civilization.

The fey motivations -- from building something to how they react to their accident -- feel too human and mundane.

Fey in lore are flavoured by their quirky interactions with humans, and any magnificent constructs are a backdrop or merely illusion or dream.

Furthermore, extensive use of pre-RR story assets have been used. This is understandable but all the placements of furnishings/terrain, enemies, and loot do not feel at all related to even the story.

Finally, the story barely makes sense. The fey are worried that the Being will somehow destroy the realm but clearly it cannot since it is trapped even before binding it to physical form. Then they completely abandon the Realm as if they don't even care about it in the first place. So why bother with the Being at all? Can it open portals and chase them?

The story doesn't have any fey flavour to it and also makes little or no sense. All the supporting elements of the Realm including location design make no sense either.

It seems clear there is either a radical shift in game vision or this is just a one-shot independent story of no consequence and no flavour. With strong history / lore to guide consistent stories, story plot and world design naturally comes together in an internally consistent way.

This is the necessary prerequisite work behind the best and most enduring stories like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. The "why" of everything in the fictional world makes sense, nothing is haphazard -- because there is a thought-out world that makes sense, and a history to the world that informs why things are the way they are now.

Pre-RR there was some of this with the story of how humans learned magic and the history of Nightingale and the Calamity.

But the RR story quests feel just parachuted in and disconnected from the established lore.
