The world initially felt uninspired and "samey" when I bought the game in February, as the devs themselves mentioned. With the new realm rebuild, I came back and was pleasantly surprised by the attempt at a storyline (15 hours in, first red realm unlocked). However, villages, buildings, and dig sites feel very "map-editor" like—hastily placed with little thought. Villages are empty, NPCs lack personality, and buildings are static with sparse interiors. While the open world is beautiful with rivers and waterfalls, the towns feel copy-pasted, lacking proper pathing or environmental details, which breaks immersion.
