Please add saber swords, bayonets, and cane swords

Not sure why calvary saber swords, machetes, cane swords, and bayonets haven't been added yet, seems like a perfect fit for this game. Please add them in the future.

Not sure why this isn't flagged as "Planned" since they announced in the November Q&A that swords are being implemented. Not clear devs actually read the Community Portal.

Sword and shield sets with bash and a percentage of maleficium defection against the caster who casts against us.

OMG yes please, some different weapons so i don't have to feel like i'm going back to my native ways with a Boomerang*cough cough* sorry i mean sickle, or cleaving heads in with a maul/hammer i'd like to have some more Blade like weapons that aren't tools.... aha...

at the very least cavalry sabers and Navy cutlasses were still Very common in the period this game is set in- and would make perfect sense with the airships. Along with LONG bayonets as the idea was still to use them on long barreled rifles to act as short pikes / spears to ward off a cavalry charge. Basic Bush Knives like a cut down sabers or cutlasses, machetes and Kukri were often used by hunters and explorers of the period.

these examples from that period would add a bit of diversity also.

Small swords - small 1 handed thrusting blades

Leadcutter swords - large broad bladed 3/4 basket hilted sort of like a Oversized cutlass

artillery foot swords - short (about 25 inch blade) double edged straight blades (example- model 1832 foot artillery sword)

Not sure... in my opinion the game has too many "weapons" already. That everyone can use anything, incl. clothes, make the game not more individual, in opposite. Clothes are a good example, Hermetic and Druidic have the same values, so it's unimportant what you build or wear. This is not individual, sorry.

A Cane would be amazing... it would go with the victorian asthetic and give you a better weapon to cast spells from than a dagger or farm tool.

Honestly, just more melee weapons in general for different playstyles with different abilities. It seems pretty much everyone either focuses on either Axe or Axepick and there is very little reason to do anything else. Sure some people do the sicklerang. It'd be great to see a handaxe, rapier, sabre, maybe even a polearm build or builds like a buckler and sword.

I agree fully to this, Swords of different caliber would make the game more orientated towards different play style. As of now I have chests full of melee Mats that don't get used as I don't want to run around just using my axe. Swords would make the game a lot more fun! Use an immolation enchantment on a saber and start slashing.. Devs please consider this!

Melee weapons that aren't gathering tools would be nice, yeah.

I'm tired of using the axe as a weapon 80% of the time.

Joan de Arc has a sword, and armor. Please let us utilize a sword as well. Zero use outside of Melee damage against enemies.
