It doesn't really seem to matter what you make cards out of, the result is universally the same. I propose that the type of ink you use, and the type of paper you use makes physical and tangible changes to the Realms that are created. For example,
Maybe a realm created from Ichor would create a world that is more often invade by the bound, or even has buildings/structures that look like they were made by the bound.
Paper made with corrupted wood may have a higher chance to have corrupted trees, or poisonous plants.
Ink made from a meat may increase the number of predators or prey created in the world or make them more aggressive/dangerous.
Ink made from a valuable ore may increase the chance of valuable minerals being created in a world, or the type of minerals created.
Maybe if stone power is used to create the ink, the world would be more rugged and mountainous or have more caves or something.
Ink made from gunpowder may give a chance for Realm-walking raiders to attack you in your realm or something.
Otherwise, it is virtually pointless to have different types of ink and paper.
