This: I want to exit the currently selected recipe but stay on the bench, press escape, and am left outside the work bench. It seems more intuitive to first close the recipe popup, and on second press close the work bench altogether

First, part of this quest can not be completed. glyphs are missing.

I play primarily in multiplayer, and the fact that there is no longer a way to short rest can be quite frustrating, as the only way to rest is to wait for the other player(s) to rest with you.

I have built all Refinements and placed them so Workbenches take the effect. Now a day later no refinement effects remain. One wick takes 37 seconds!

It can be tedious to have to learn every recipe one at a time, particularly with say Tilesets. Add an option to learn all recipes within a particular branch to the description of the top recipe of that branch.

Bought 2 bonnets but instead I got an embellished headwrap and no bonnets. It says I own the hats but not the headwrap. Spent 100 tier 4 essence which were deducted but no products in inventory.
