I sent my follower home via "Ask for calling card" in the survivor management menu. When i sent her home she was in full gear with a gear score of just over 100, when i got back home after i was finished with my adventure she was NAKED. NO CLOTHES (only undergarments) everything she had been wearing is GONE. VANISHED. NOWHERE TO BE FOUND! I am Very upset.
The survivor chest has no equipment in it!

When you ask your recruited follower for a calling card, they will drop their items in a chest before disappearing, which is working as designed. However, if you return to the location where you dismissed the NPC and asked for their calling card, you should be able to re-locate the chest, which should be marked on the map with the label "Survivor's Belongings" and you should be able to collect the dropped items.
