Historical depictions of her have also been wildly inaccurate. The only records of her appearance are extremely lacking. What we know is that she was 5'2", very tanned, short hair, thick necked, and muscular. The depiction in the game is more accurate than how she's has been portrayed historically.
Ah nevermind, she reveals she is the reincarnation of the original Joan.
In which case, the obvious question by the player would not only be "Isn't Joan long dead?" but also "Wasn't Joan French?"
