Open System Menu Hotkey Fully Closes Other UI's

Hello! When I am crafting I have this bad habit of hitting escape to close a recipe. Well... it dials up the request to 11 and closes the entire crafting station UI, when I keep expecting it to just close the selected recipe and go back to the recipe list. (This is one reason why I want the crafting UI to revert where the recipe results are inline with the recipe list.)

I'm calling this a bug because the hotkey is called "Open System Menu", but Escape does double duty for other things, namely closing UI elements, and having it close EVERYTHING seems like it's going too far and/or is an undocumented feature.
