You know you are doing well when somebody is bothered by something this trivial, but it really bugs me that my characters are so grim-faced in the profile/selection screen.
It's sort of period that portraits were done with a relaxed face (though that had everything to do with how long a painting or an early photo took), but since the character is animated it's not a portrait.
Alternatively, though I think it would be less appealing, make the profile pic look like a framed portrait so it looks less wrong.
