I'm only a bit into the new update but I'm quite happy with the streamlining of the augmentations! I wouldn't simplify more than this, but so far it feels about right. That being said, I do wish the augments were organized somehow in the build menu, so it was easier to find the type of augmentation you need.
I can see two ways of doing this: the simplest might be to just make it possible to search for "Hunting" or "Victorian Dandy" and return all of the related augmentations. You could also do this by grouping the augments by type, so all "Agriculture" augments will go next to each other, for example.
Either way would work, it's just a little tedious finding the thing once you know you need/want it.

Agreed. I love the changes made to augments, but the search bar seems pretty useless as it is. If i want to find all augments that affect, say, crafted umbrellas, i should be able to search "umbrella" and have it pull up everything relevant.
Allow us to sort and search by keywords for example: "farming", "military", "guns", "melee" and so on for augments. it would make it so much easier to find what I'm looking for
I just had this problem of finding the right augments. There should be a subcategory for each augment. I can't seem to find the science augment, and it's frustrating. In addition to your idea of better organizing the augments, I'd like to suggest this: https://playnightingale.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RRFEEDBACK-I-115, which talks about increasing the augment range, even allowing them to go through walls. This would give us the opportunity to build beautiful bases/houses :)
I would also like to have a tier tab, so that you can sort them by tier. Click tier 1 tab, and see all Tier 1 augments. This could just be a general tab system, that applies to all sub sections.
