Some minor QoL improvements that would be great to have in all game modes.
It would be really helpful if it were possible to choose whether stacks combine in a container. Sometimes, like when putting together the materials for a new realm exploration, I make small baskets each containing the materials for 1 lodestar, 1 pepys, 1 transmuter. This results in me ending up having multiple baskets sitting around so that I can simply prepare for opening multiple realms. By adding a switch similar to the building, crafting or Survivor settings on a container that simply controls whether stacks I place in the container automatically combine or not.
When splitting stacks, it would be a huge QoL to be able to enter the number you want to split from the original stack. Currently, it is a pain when there is a large stack of something to split a specific number of items off. Alternatively or additionally being able to click on the arrows for fine-tuning the number with the arrows placed at one end and reoriented to up and down would also be an improvement. That would reduce the mouse movement required as well.
Considering the number of raw materials, intermediate materials and end materials that producing almost all items that you build or craft in the game, inventory management is critical. Most people seem to end up using something like the utilitarian shelf and voyager's steamer trunk or something similar stacked on the shelves. Currently the labels on the containers appear above the container. That of course does not work very well when the containers are stacked above each other on a shelf as only the top container's label is actually legible since it is the only one not covered by the container above it. Moving the labes to show on the front of the container would remediate this problem. Being able to change the font color of the label would also be of great benefit since on most backgrounds the black font is difficult to see.
