I found a patch of forest in the first Abeyance realm where the Carnute circles endlessly. Great spot for harvesting wood, I thought. After a while, I noticed that the forest was getting thinner and thinner for some reason, despite me never removing a stump.
Turns out, the Carnute's endless circles demolish trees in a way that removes the stump and apparently they don't regrow. It's not a critical issue but somewhat annoying because it will deforest the entire area eventually.
