The 'can't light a fire in the rain' mechanic needs a more visible notification. I fumbled with the camp fire for a few minutes not understanding the issue. I couldn't figure out the problem for long enough to suspect a bug which isn't great for something that will happen within the first half hour.
Initially I thought I was just being a bit dense there but the issue seems to repeat itself with other people.
There should be a direct message in your face stating why that button isn't working. Right now it's a fairly small message in a sub menu and that makes it feel like a bug.

I agree. I also thought it was a bug due to the way it was phrased. When I realized it was because of the rain, I just felt dumb lol
