I find this to be somewhat true even with the story realms. I don't feel like I have to explore much at all to find valuable resources because the fibers and wood I need from a certain biome are found in easy-to locate clusters. I wish I had to work a bit harder to find these, which would increase their inherent value(Such as being sporadically populated and found in surprising places. In addition, because caves and legendary beasts either come pre-populated or rapidly appear on the map, I rarely even seem to pay attention to topography at all in exploration, and just use the map to guide me to the next point. I cleared Welkin's Reach way too quickly because of this and Magwitch Marshes. I wish my exploration meant more. I want to find more interesting and still valuable things through exploration aside from the POIs, or have some POIs(or many/most) that only get marked on the map when you enter them and discover them.
