Crafting and picking each item for crafting good gear is an extremely good mechanic, however it is hindered by the fact that when I want to craft something new, I have to go through a ton of crafting menus. When crafting a Dauntless Climbing Pick, for example, I need a hardened pick, which requires a pick head, which requires an ingot and a metal tip, which requires another ingot; then I need a handle, which requires a wrap, which requires straps, which requires hide - and for crafting 2 of the 4 items needed for this pick, I have now gone through 9 different crafting menus. Continuing down this path I still need a handle, which needs a fastener, which needs an ingot, and a pole, which can use gilded wood, which needs lumber, which needs wood, and an ingot; followed by a grip, which needs straps, which need leather. In total, to craft 1 'tier 3+' item, I need to navigate roughly 20 crafting menus. This is extremely tedious and is ruining the crafting mechanic.
Crafting items should allow you to select all the items needed straight from that menu, all the way down to the base level items; or at least some kind of flow that doesn't require opening up a new crafting window each time, especially not 20 of them. For example, crafting all the items needed for the hardend pick are all within the smithing station - I shouldn't need to go to each item to craft, and I should just be able to select each item in the hardened pick crafting menu.
