So while mining in the hunter realms I'm running into nodes that seem to produce random assortments of plant fiber, sticks and stones instead of ore.

Hunter Eminent decreases creature harvest yield in exchange for other non-creature materials. Ores should not come from animals. The increase in rare resource yield should be specific to the creature, not from a general pool (of common resources).
