Abeyance Work Stations Unloading if Outside Map Chunk

I'm theorizing why this happens, but it seems reasonable based on what I've observed.

First, thank you for the automation update and I hope the team is enjoying their holidays. That's some well deserved rest, with all that's been put into the patches and expansion of content!

In trying to put my spin on something a friend of mine had done with building the mining stations partially into natural rock formations to make it seem as if the workers are mining directly instead of on transported boulders, I found a cave I liked that seemed to stay clear of creatures and enemies. I built six stations and some themed decoration elements, added a cairn for both admin purposes and because my "remote" work sites have bells to call the start and end of shifts. Unlike the small builds around my home with their stations that are on the same map chunk, the mine stops working from time to time.

What I've observed in the last couple of days is that the distance doesn't matter and it works about as well as you could hope until you allow the realm to unload. At that point, the stations that are outside of the map square where my main Respite is built disappear from the work queue, along with the survivor names, assignments, and progress bars. I was a bit bummed thinking that I had a cool idea that wouldn't work, so I took the Lodestar over to my dig and all six followers spawned in along with their tasks on the cairn rapidly after I landed there.

They stay working, contributing, until I leave the realm long enough for it to spin down or if I go offline an appreciable time (and thus spin down the realm). They also reliably reappear and re-assign on their own if I make it a point to visit the dig, but not if I don't. This suggests to me that something is going on with keeping the tasks apportioned if they are outside of the map chunk where the main cairn is homed.

I have yet to remove all other active workers to see if the contribution continues and it's just a display bug, but I may do that too if nobody else actively tests this.

Included are three images of the work order screen on load in from character select, on transit to the mine build, on transit back to my Respite main cairn area, and the distance on the map showing multiple map cells.

Please address this and keep it so we can build functionally in any part of our cairn-supported Respite. I love the choice to do thematic set pieces like this and would hate to lose that.

    Update for 12/23/24:

    Testing the output specifically shows that the stations are working even when the work orders and assignments are not.

    I removed all non-quarry workers and emptied storage, then went offline and let it spin down to replicate the issue. Stations are generating resources for all assigned workers but the assignments still disappear from the list until I go visit the area again, where they repopulate.

    This appears to be a display bug and not fully a functional one.
