Dispel stopped working after upgrading knife to Epic.

I upgraded my Mystic Hunting Knife to epic and after that the Dispel casts, but does nothing(not to trap tiles nor enemy spells). Tried replacing the Dispel with Illuminate and replacing with Dispel again, but it still does nothing. I haven't attempted to craft a new knife yet for lack of materials.
