Centralized storage

Most of my time in game is spent sorting items. What if there was a magical/enchanted way of dropping all items into a central "machine" and it distribute everything to storage containers that are either predetermined by the player or are specialized containers such as suggested in this post https://playnightingale.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RRFEEDBACK-I-847

The best representation of what I would like, is something similar to the Minecraft mod Arcane Archives, with the use of the Brazier of Hoarding from the mod. Example of use here;

I feel like the the Fae lore and such, it would be easy to have some wisp or fairy magic auto sort our stuff. Take it a step further and have augments for storage as to designate what to do with excess items, converting them into essence or the like. Being able to designate which storage units cane be deposited into and which can't. Even have a magic book on a lectern that can show a list of all items in range and when you select said item, it'll send a glowing orb, or wisp, to the location said item is stored.

Either way, having a system to come back to base and quickly unload, something more intuitive than the current move similar buttons. With the current system as i know it, i would have to spend time running around to every storage solution to store the appropriate items.
