Better gardening Ideas

Currently, gardening in the game is quite tedious and a bit time-consuming. I like having a gardening spot near my base to optimize my storage and food preparation, but each planter only accepts one seed. I don’t quite understand the difference with the pots. Although I would love to have a hanging garden that could take multiple seeds, I make do with what’s offered, unless you add more decorations for gardening, which would be amazing.

The problem I encounter is that I always want to plant the same seed, and the solution I’ve found is to disable the chest containing all the seeds and keep on me the ones I want to plant. I have 30 planters, so I have to interact with each one, press “E,” drag the seed, and move on to the next. After that, I either set up a rainy realm or use my watering can and a minor card to boost my plant yield.

I have two potential solutions to improve this process. I’m not saying the current system doesn’t work, but I would really appreciate some quality-of-life improvements for gardening.

Solution 1: My companion NPC could take care of planting, watering, and harvesting the crops. In this scenario, I would only focus on gathering and producing seeds.

Solution 2: Having an object, like a sprinkler or a magical shed, that waters all the plants in a certain area using a bit of magic. There could be a single chest that only accepts seeds, and all deposited seeds would be planted automatically. Either I or my NPC could then handle the harvesting.

These changes would greatly improve the player experience for managing gardens while keeping the gameplay fun and rewarding!

No need to click and drag seeds - just double click them and it will be faster. Though agreed in general - the farming system needs fleshing out.
