Lots of time rarer wood types get auto added as fuel to craft stations. It would be nice to limit allowable fuel types with a filter on craft stations. I have to disallow followers from adding fuel because of this. I like having more options when crafting but burning higher tier mats just feels bad.

Workbenches should Extinguish automatically imo.. its not a lot of fun having to turn them off after each cract... then the amount of fuel being burnt wouldnt be such a big issue anyway.
That's one of the reasons why my followers are not allowed to do anything other than fight and heal
I love this suggestion. I had my companion set to refuel, but I want them to use the wood first, but they always default to plant fiber first! Being able to set the fuel type on the crafting station would be amazing.
isnt that the reason for having the settings for storage? denied access to survivors? or random crafting use? im very new and still trying to figure best methods for all this stuff that wants to accumulate. and now that ive found there is a big difference between mats, im rather regretting not paying attention earlier and not just auto filling and using stuff my own self. never mind the "helper" lol
