I love that there is a food system in place but I have suggestions if this is still open for discussion.
Current system appears to be quite a few recipes the provide relatively the same benefits. Yes, some are more specialized but trying to memorize the multitude of stats per food item vs another is somewhat strenuous and pulls from the immersion of the game.
At the moment, it's not uncommon to just slam together some random recipes and eat until your at peak. Usually picking out one recipe that covers the overall best.
Suggestion:
Crafting complex food recipes is always very rewarding and there is always the need for a couple simplistic recipes that get you by but lack the quality of putting the effort in.
Instead of granting most of the same options each tier, move to simplistic super basic recipes still useful at end game. These recipes cover specific boosts only. Eg. instant health, regen, magic, stamina, hunger, etc. But only one boost per item.
Tier 2 grants mixed benefits with higher tiers granting multiple boosts and or special benefits.
Remove all stat definitions and details aside from decent description and let the players learn the benefits via testing out in game.
This would not only make potions and food more fun, but it would make each recipe meaningful including previous tiers.
Finally, I absolutely love the current balance of the crafting system. Sure it could be tweaked but overall GREAT job! Played quite a few survival games and I find this one is just the right level of effort. The only detail on this, is that if also using a simpler food system, I might suggest making the creation of higher tier foods more troublesome to accomplish and/or add in food decay (not a fan of that myself but hey, it works).
