I know this is an older post... but please just allow us to make dyes so we can choose what colour we want our clothing to be instead of relying on the type of material! Thank you!
Dyes and paints for coloration would make a lot of sense. It would be nice if there was some reflection in the inventory icons too, so we can readily tell the difference between them when changing equipment. I also agree that the 'cost system' in the glamour station is nonsense. I don't like that the glamour station allows us to wear a skin that is entirely different from the equipment capabilities. For me, that's just taking skins too far. Maybe I'll run around in my underwear to prove my point.
We do have the glamour station which is not perfect. Was a discussion in discord earlier, dyes don't seem to be an option because every little piece seems to alter some part of the item. Someone proposed using the glamour station you imprint a specific crafted item over one so you make a version of the outfit that looks how you want and put that over your statted out item.
So much YES.. have the clothes all be tan or something leather-colored because currently? Yeahh, the whole "this mob has this color, but this other of the same mob has different colors" is just too crazy and doesn't even match the color of the mob, anyway. Dyes, asap, please! You already have so many plants and spices and flowers to work with..
The only complaint I have is that, insofar, it looks like there is a cost to using the glamor dresser that is.. frankly too much. Hopefully they don't make it a chore to customize our appearance when this is done.
I know that they have this planner for the Glamour Dresser but I just wantes to address how frustrating it was building it and findng out the customization it offered was very limited. I'd rather wish they implemented it when they had the full glamour system working than have a half-baked asset.

This is upcoming - if you use a glamour table you can see that they have it planned to be able to use the dye channels for cosmetics
