Pursuit ore adds 6% ranged and crit damage, when you make buttons or other items with them, they say they add 8%, when they only add the original 6%

The fastener is buffed by the forge minor effect when made so it has 8% instead of 6. It is losing that additional percentage when I got to make it reinforced leather as seen in the attached screen shot. This does not feel like it should be the intended effect.
