Yep had to fight without companion several times. because the companion doesn't have the mechanic/capability to AROUND large rocks. Here's another good one; gets stuck on lips because the companion doesn't lift their feet high enough while walking. Had to dash away from a monster only to lose the companion and she didn't port back to me.

Yeah my guy has absolutely dipped out at the very worse times. Had to fight Yex solo.
